Little bit about myself...
My passion for art goes back for as long as I can remember, and knew it was the career path I was meant to take. Drawing in charcoal and graphite was my main discipline until 2015, when I decided to venture into painting. It was a new, unexplored medium to me, but I was curious to see what it had in store. Once I tried it, I loved the fluidity of the materials, and felt there were more possibilities in painting.
Currently I am mostly painting in acrylic and oil, but took up welding and woodworking in October of 2016.
I've always loved working with my hands, and the need to do so only grew with my time in the Navy as an Aviation Machinist's Mate (aircraft mechanic) on F-18 jets and H-60 helicopters. Having that love for labor intensive, intricate work, I found that welding and woodworking was a great crossover for me in the art world.
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati's DAAP (Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning) Program, with my bachelors degree in fine arts.
Since graduation, I've been busy with commissions and finishing up some other work. This coming year is going to be a busy and exciting one! There will be some custom designed furniture pieces and a military inspired painting series in the works, so stay tuned!
